AR and VR technologies for better spatial orientation to project navigational cues onto the physical environment, helping guests solve spatial orientation problems. The uses of VR and AR technologies in teaching disabled people in various areas of training.

Introduction of automated doors, voice-controlled elevators and other automation systems that allow guests with limited mobility to independently and comfortably move around the premises.

...for people who may have speech or hearing impairments. Opportunities and challenges of using voice-to-text and text-to-voice functionalities.

Integration of 24/7 support (answering queries, providing information) for guests who may find face-to-face communication challenging.

Creating interfaces and experiences that are easy to use for everyone, including those with cognitive impairments or limited tech proficiency.

This talk will focus on the presentation of the developments carried out by the TALIONIS research group at the University of Coruña, in the field of virtual reality. Specifically, customizable virtual scenarios will be shown, which facilitate the development of a therapeutic intervention. Through VR glasses, the person can immerse themselves in familiar spaces and complete tasks related to basic and instrumental activities of daily life, allowing the professional, at the same time, to monitor the intervention.

Accessing the information is a personal experience. Some of us rely on specific access modes, like touching or earring. We'll discuss how to ensure our designs allow them to understand and enjoy the best possible reading experience.

A dual perspective, delivered by the Space for Synthesis team, which looks at what really helps neuro diverse students to play to their strengths and achieve well deserved educational success. This presentation will explore - with the help of a digital 'native' mentee, and the digital 'immigrant' integrative mentor - how stress can be minimised whilst maintaining work under pressure, by improving metacognition and selecting the right digital interventions.

Doris will talk about the “MuseumsGuide inklusiv”, a print and online guide showcasing 160 museums Austrianwide with their offers in regard to accessibility and inclusion. What is the impact of the initiative? What can we learn from some of the best practice examples?
