This talk will give an overview of how public libraries help people access and use technologies and support their digital inclusion. Using real-world examples, it will explore how public libraries assist people to navigate the digital landscape by providing them with access to technologies and supporting their acquisition of digital skills so that they can participate in the digital society.


Speakers: Anne Goulding, Professor of Library and Information Management in the School of Information Management, Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington in Aotearoa New Zealand.

The practice of using digital systems that can be programmed to adjust room settings, such as lighting and temperature, to suit the preferences of guests with specific requirements. Use of auditory controls or Braille-compatible devices.
